Okay. Meanwhile it has got an OS upgrade (3.87), additional P-RAM, a REALLY FAT external SCSI CD-ROM drive (4 pounds of drive and a cooling fan, anyone?) and it has got the daughterboard plus Orchestral ROM. And now I wish for a board/a ROM that WORKS! (Shoulda known that it was a bad idea to buy it from a flea market in an opened box for that cheap...). And I wish for more sample RAM. By the way, does anyone know if the String Boxes CD from Sonic Implants is any good?

Vinceblood posted a sample of the lead sound on Jarre.net,it was a brass type patch with a low filter cutoff as it was more of a string timbre......if i remember rightly i think he said it was off the Roland JV expansion cards Can't recall exactly,all i know is he posted an audio of it


or maybe it was off the K2000...seeing as Jarre played it from the K2000 perhaps it was a patch from that,but during the Oxy tour jarre only played the first melody pass,then played the Theremin,so who played the second melody run!!!Francis???he certainly had a Roland synth within his viccinity...

Hm, I don't recall the sounds that exactly now. And the K2000's standard sound palette isn't that big (there are some really great sounds in it, though, I love that dual bass for instance). But if there was an O10-style sound on it, I would remember it.

Right now I'm wishing:

- Korg 01R/W (so that I can take my 01/WFD out of my bedroom and use it for gigs only, or sell it).

- then a 3-tier keyboard stand for my XP80/Ion/Juno 106.

- Behringer SL3242 mixing desk. My MX1604 has become too small for my needs.

- A professional Reverb module and another multi FX module to use with the SL3242.

- A Novation KS-rack to add yet another a 4-part multitimbral analog modeling synth with 3 oscillators to my rig (the Ion is the other 4-part/3-osc synth).

- patchbays and cables

- Computer memory and a newer version of Sonar (I'm still using Cakewalk 9).

Now:

1: V-synth
2: ASR10
3: ION

Synth? only Microkorg and NL2x, I need a digital and some JMJ sounds... so the D-50 I just need to have one, then I can try to play as fast as Rick Wakeman
