You know, just perfection. I just had a very interesting conversation actually, with Jean Michel Jarre, and a couple of other friends just being at my studio. And Jean-Michel Jarre was explaining, really where electronic music came from, and he said, and I think it’s very true, that in Europe, we were so influenced by American music, I mean The Rolling Stones took their name from a Muddy Waters song. So the blues was everywhere. And we continental Europeans wanted to find our language in a funny way, so most of the electronic music is, there’s much more classical harmony on your [music]. And I think that is just something that stuck. You know, stuck to my DNA. When I was 13, when I was 14, when I was in England, yeah all I wanted to do was go and see The Who, go and see The Stones. I saw David Bowie do Ziggy Stardust.

The post suits better to ADE topic, it has nothing to do with forthcoming album.

I guess he will continue making music even without making albums, basically because music piracy and streaming music is progressively killing the idea of making albums…

Make a good album and people will still care. The idea of an album isn't dead, Daft Punk proved that with RAM. However the way it's being distributed as one package is pretty much dead unless the album is stellar. And I doubt Jarre can create a brand new album that will be interesting throughout the entire thing.

This thread started in 2010 and is probably the longest Jarre related-thread on this website. In that time, updates were scarce or false. Don't expect anything on this matter.

Gary feels it's time for new music, like the stuff he's already done with the soundtracks, with Vow, with Portafield, Jean-Michel Jarre and others.

J'ai contacté aussi Edith Napias en MP sur Facebook , elle m'a dit que Jean-Michel Jarre doit rendre le master de son album (celui solo je suppose) avant le 10 janvier 2015.
I also contacted Edith Napias PM on Facebook, she told me that Jean-Michel Jarre has to make the master of his album (the solo I guess) before 10 January 2015.
