You'd be Quite surprised how good it sounds,Ok its not gonna be as Phat as the Voyager or an Original Model D,but its a typical Moog sound and real analog too,I never take those videos as how it sounds cos it depends on what its been recorded on and your Computer soundcard,I like to demo the synths in the shop,but again it depends on what Speaker/Amp Package they have them hooked up to,even with Headphones your not used to the sound of the headphones so your perception changes,
Whenever I demo a synth I always take my trusty BeyerDynamic DT990's with me,I'm used to how they sound so can judge better how a synth sounds through them.The Phatty stood up against any other synth and it astonished me how many different sounds you can get out of it,even though its filter is a static 24db Lo pass,it would have been nice to have a choice of other filters,but the 24db Lo pass is the Moog patent filter,Ok its got limited Modulation and knobs but its very easy to grasp how everything works and create your own sounds quickly,for the price your getting into that Moog territory on a budget,Build Quality is excellent too,when I saw one for the first time I Kind of felt it looked like it would be typically all plastic,and cheaply made but majority of it is metal and it looks like it would last a lot of gigging,its Quite heavy for its size too.feels really solid
Reccomend the Little Phatty to any synth head..Its fun to use,Haven't had this much fun on a dinky synth since getting the Prophecy,Keyboard has a nice Playing action to it as well
