Jote wrote:The whole bitching about soft-synths is ridiculous - most of you wouldn't be able to tell Pro-53 from Prophet V in the mix. I couldn't care less what actual gear JMJ uses in his new album. Also the "please not 100% ARP 2600" is laughable - as long as the track is good and well arranged with decent sounds who cares if it's done with one synth only? end of rant
Yes! You can hear the difference between real synths and VST's! Believe me, I tried enough of them together with a real one, and I have to say, emulations of vintage synths don't sound the same as the real ones! (your example, the Pro-53 against the Prophet V, if it wasn't told me, I wouldn't recognize it as an emulation of the Prophet V!)

Your second point, that you find that "not 100% 2600" laughable, is your opinion. My opinion is that you can't make a descent track with one analog synth. The sounds will sound all a bit the same, because it's the same synth, and one requirement for a good track is mostly a bit difference in sounds, isn't it?

Please don't turn this into a synth discussion. It doesn't matter if he's used analogue and/or softsynth, as long as the music is good. I'm glad I'm no hardware "nerd", or softsynth "nerd" for that matter, and having to try and figure out what synths he's using, but can just lay back and enjoy the music itself.

I think JarreUk knows more than any other, and they have probably been told directly from Aero Productions or something not to leak anything.

Have a beer and cool down man. You can't decide what people think. Besides that I don't see anybody claming any conspiracy. If you are referring to my last post, it has nothing to do with conspiracies. It was based on the statement that JarreUK often have been the very first to get information, and a conversation between ralf and one of the admins on the Space Of Freedom forum.
