Aero Concert Intro

Hi all !!

I was listening to some sounds of my D50 when I felt on a sound called "Slap Bass n Brass".
When you play it at the lower note, you can have a sound very close to Aero Concert Intro... :P sound

Then, I switched on my JP8000 and selected a patch, Syncrosolo (A86). sound

I'm rather happy of me, I just play it since 10 minuts without listening to the track before :P

I know it has been done on a Korg KARMA but for those who wanted to buy a KARMA only to do that, you can buy a D50 :P
But I am 70% sure the lead is from the JP8000, the bass and the battery are from the KARMA for sure ;)

I think nobody ever said it was 100% Karma, but then again it's cool you found those sounds :D

Finally, I am listening to this track.
What a wonderful track, all the power of JMJ, I really love when he plays so low, it makes the track stonger !

Have we an exact list of which synths he used for this track ? :P

No, but I think you are pretty close. JP8K, Karma, and perhaps some JV and XP here and there, a little nordlead maybe... that's about it I guess. At least that's what I think..

Actually the NordLead 1 is a pretty damn well cool yay synth, I need one, maybe next or next next year :P
The price is quite low and will be more and more, cool :P
I need a JV90 too :D
And I think I'll be able to make AERO 2 in my homestudio :mrgreen:

It was Karma for 100%. It uses the special unique sequence creator, so they never sound the same :)

btw the lead sound sounds more brassy :) it cannot be jp8k

I am listening to the Aero Introduction, yes it sounds more brassy but as far as I remember he use the JP later for some jamming. Or maybe this was done on the NL3, I just remember it sounded like Nico's recording, I will just have a look of the live recordings.

Well, live was not specially live for this track... ok, only the HPD-15 in fact...

He can't have used the NL3, only the NL1 or NL2, but I think he used them two ;)
I found a cool drum sequence, nothing to do with the original one, I'm trying to make a remix (not a cover ;):P) of this track :D

The KARMA seems to be really a good workstation, I'll try to play more on it @ my local dealer (if he still has it :P)
Maybe I'll be able to record something from it on my MP3 player :lol:

Look again, he had 2 NL3 and a NL(1) onstage :wink: the NL3 was his mainkeyboard for that concert, he used it for those tachno padnoises from the introduction. At soem point when that sync lead started, you could see him play that melody on the NL3. However it could have been connected to the JP-8080 as he also used the NL3 for the Light My Sky vocoding, only the keyboard ofcourse as the JP-8080 was the only onstage vocoder I could spot.
