Incredible that JMJ's team has not got archive material of this kind to use as part of a decent anniversary re-release. I absolutley love this video, with the twist in the tale/tail. It appears Dreyfus gave JMJ a decent promotional budget but I guess he spent 90% of the funds on this arty, interesting and visually brilliant Zoolook video and the 10% that was left over on the dreadful Zoolookologie video :D
I like to believe that the Zoolookologie video was kitschy on purpose, although it's not super likely.

regarding the Zoolookologie video, I found this 1 page ad where Rod McCall announced he directed the Zoolookologie video for JMJ

(page 31)
Rod McCall has done some other stuff, but I can't find much on him.

It was deliberately kitsch, but it wasn't ironic. This was the mid-1980s. This stuff was done in all seriousness back then, whereas the same approach today would be obviously tongue in cheek.

At four seconds, just after walking through the studio door, Jean-Michel Jarre does a double-take looking at somethig to his left. What is this?

Sugestions in the replies, please ... wrong answers only :D

I'd love to see a reprint of this. it fits so well with the album. THAT would be a great addition to the 40th anniversary release!

Some background - still unreleased - documentaries or photos would be nice.

On Tidal available since midnight... I just listened and I don't understand how it's possible to validate this work.

Even Moon Machine doesn't save anything (same mix a priori).

To check if it wasn't my ears I listened to the first track "Ethnicolor" on Spotify (at the critical point just before 10 minutes and further) and it's not possible for me.

Forget and return to the standard for me.
