I'm listening to the vinyl of E2 THON.
What disapoints me a bit here is the track Electrees.
Is it really supposed to sound thinner on the vinyl then via digital streaming?
Eventhough I really like the composition I'm just not satisfied with the mixing of sounds
so a kind of "mixed" feeling. The only "Yello" in WTWTAW is the voice...nah mediocre.
In These Creatures I could as well had put on an Enya album. The only difference is that she can sing her lyrics not just rambling a lot of words.
Never been a fan of Gary Newman's songs and not this time either. Can't stand the voice.
What You Want - rap is not my thing. I would like to hear this track instrumentally.
Cirkus - too childish or I'm too old. A bit of the same feeling I had with the Teo & Tea album strikes back again.
The Architect sounds like a cheap intro to some TV-show. Boring drum pattern and unlike a real architect things are happening quite randomly it seems.
Walking the Mile is for me like listening to Sessions 2k with a ghost hammering out the lyric.

My favourits so far are:
Gisele (in) Brick England Exit The Heart Of Noise 1 and 2 As One Switched On Leon, Swipe To The Right and Falling Down.

I'm always pulled back to Automatic, Pt. 1. Very short lived high but worth the wait.

Why are we talking Electronica 1 in a thread about Electronica 2: The Heart Of Noise ?
There is already a thread about them both here:

The DR-numbers doesn't look good at all for the CD. http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/list/ ... chel+jarre

Does anybody have some numbers for the vinyl?

If only we could have at least DVD-Audio or SACD.

I got my 7" of "What You Want" on Thursday. It is one sided! And also it's a transparent clear (translucent) vinyl. The version of this song is the same as the albumversion. Nothing special except for the translucent vinyl. It's also a limited edition, but not mentioned or numbered on this record. :D

Greetings,

In the past week, I've started listening to "These Creatures" more than before while "As One" and "Circus" have become more neglected - yet I still like them as much as I did before.

(Even though I did wake up a couple of days ago to "Circus" playing in my mind, which is a good mark anyhow ;))

For information , " As one " is just a remix of a title of Primal Scream " Come Together ( as one ) " of 1991 :

That's awesome! I hate the track, but I want it just for that!

Edit: Also now that I think about it. Still no replacement download for the album. This really is something.

They could add instrumental version as B-side and Exit (edit/video version) as B-side of Exit 7" but they didn't do that. Sony is really annoying company.

For me it's also strange commercial a one sided 7". But at least we get one! The last official 7" of Jarre was around 1993 I think. And this is also the second time (first time was a promotional blue colored "Oxygene Part 4" I think) in Jarre's 7" history that we have an colored vinyl (in this case a clear one).

Christophe

Think I'd have to agree with that.
