I am the same. I listen to them over and over and loose track. But do not want to effective others around me so I hear them also on my headphones. What is truly "Jarresque music" anyway? He has got so many different styles from one album to an other and different people to work with through the years so for me it's quite difficult to even tell.Jote wrote:I'm really surprised that people find Conquistador "jarresque". That being said, I kind of like "Glory". Yes, it does sound like a "football anthem" a bit, but I'd say I feel more of a JMJ vibe in it than in "Conquistador". Maybe it's because of the arpeggio and the odd "synthesized-voice-alike" hook. I could see this track played at concert finales, much like RV4 or Chrono 4 in the past.
There's also one more thing about "Glory" that speaks to me much better than "Conquistador". It has MELODY. A catchy one. I can actually HUM IT. I guess I like tracks I can replay in my head without actually listening to them.

While listening to Gessafelstein's latest work I can't help but feeling more and more fascinated by his sound. How come I never heard of this man before?
If JMJ wasn't still among us I would say he could've been a right down reincarnated Jean-Michel Jarre because you can find that same mystique and sometimes spoky sound as you can find in JMJ's early work.
Gesaffelstein is using modern DJ-equipment in a far more "Deserted Palace" way then JMJ himself will ever be able to do!
I also think he has showed so much creative facettes of electronic Music through his life. I think everybody will find his favourite style. The same here.
