Köln will be an amazing night. I just can't wait for Thursday when I will be back in the city again. :D

No, Christophe did not play in Frankfurt. He just watched over Claude's shoulder, because he will stand in for him on Thursday for the show in Hamburg.

Interesting. Thanks Matthias.

How was Frankfurt concert?
And how about the - fan and non-fan - expectations for the rest of the German tour?

Frankfurt was very good. Jarre jumped around even more than last year... Sometimes he could hardly breathe when speaking into his microphone...

It was great to hear Chronologie 1 again, but it's somehow lost in the middle. It's a track for the start of the show. And I would prefer Chronologie 4 instead of Teo & Tea... Industrial Revolution 3 is great in the new version. For Statistics Adagio he was sitting directly in front of me (first row! ).
The cameraman and the photographer animated the audience to stand up and get in front of the stage.
So I had a great night, but it was nearly impossible to get close to the stage entrance. Luckily Jean Michel came to the fence after the show to give some autographs and he asked how we liked the show.

I would have expected that he would change more of the show. But the first half was nearly the same as last year, except for Magnetic Fields 1 missing. He will do 3 cities where he played already last year: Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, so I think this might be a problem.

But anyway, I will see 5 more concerts and will enjoy every minute of them. Now that he's coming so close, I have the chance to see him more often than in the 20 years before. And I will take that chance, you don't know how long you will have it...

Best regards

Matthias

I felt the same way about the removal of Oxygene 1. It's the eternal problem of what to remove, and what to add. JMJ has such an extensive body of work, it's a mystery to me why such a huge swathe of superb material is not getting an airing. Is 'Vintage' and 'Teo & Tea' the best he can do - really ? He's Jean Michel Jarre, not Sash ! For crying out loud ....

Yes, his name is trademark for experimentation. This is why he - Jean - tries things out.

My video of Vintage at the Hannover concert:

It was a great concert. Jean Michel's performance was amazing. Lots of dancing and clapping at the front of the stage by the fans. 8)
