Oh yeah, Conquistador is definetely more Jarresque. I like the dark vibe, it reminds me of this extract from the Depeche Mode album (Construction Time Again) :

Oxygene 1 - the aforementioned majestic bass section

Equinoxe 2 - the second part with the solo and those "crow effects" behind it

Equinoxe 7 - the bass intro sequence blows my mind every time

Magnetic Fields 2 - Images version - pretty much ...

I just realised that Magnetic Fields has a similar structure to some Mike Oldfield albums from the same period (QE2, Five Miles Out) - one long "suite" for side 1 and a few relatively short songs on side 2. In any case, this was a sort of Holy Grail album for me, very difficult to find in Romania ...

Oh, yeah! I can't wait, it's really been too long. Even though the man has produced a respectable amount of music already, the possibility of something new is always exciting.

This is a special concert for me, as the first time that I saw Jarre on TV was when the Egypt concert was broadcast after the New Year's Eve back in 2000. I taped it, of course!
